A man in a black cape sat comfortably on a branch, one leg hanging carelessly over the edge. His back was firmly against the trunk of the tree and the cape he wore covered his left side, hiding the secret his arm held. He hated it, despised it--the only memory and evidence of a failed mission. His sandy brown bangs hung slightly over his deep azure eyes. His eyes were filled with nothing but stark revenge, pain, anger--anything but the nice and sweet compassion normal people would show. His garb contained of Persia clothing; tan-hide boots that he had dyed black, a pair of black, loose pants with no texture, and no shirt, which revealed strange markings over his chest that eventually ran under his cloak. He also wore tattered cloth around his waist--just something that had made him fit into the Persia commons.
The last thing this man had on his mind was a visitor. He wasn't too fond on making conversation nor did he like people who tried to get on his good side to get one. No matter what, he shrugged them off. It was just his way ever since these damned people had ruined his life and career. His heart was a black void, a dark hole that had no light whatsoever left in it, or at least some people may think that or even say it. And he never bothered to say it wasn't; he knew it was true. Leaning his head back against the tree, he closed his eyes as a headache appeared in his head.

A teenage girl walked about the forest, her eyes seemed dull and lifeless. She herself appeared broken and lost. Serenity didn't want to be here. No she wanted to go back to the zoo she lived in. She wanted to go back to the life she lived before. No one knew what she was back then. They just saw her as a rare clouded leopard. The youth sighed softly as she walked on slowly. She was rather pretty even though she didn't think it.
Serenity sat under a tree leaning against it. The girl brought her knees to her chest and lightly wrapped her arms around them. Now she gazed out at the world while resting her chin on her knees. Serenity was quiet by nature. Though she knew how to talk, she rarely did. This fact alone made alot of people like her and at the same time hate her. Serenity smiled to herself watching a rabbit hop by. The irl didn't even seem to take notice of the dangerous looking man resting a few trees away from her.

You could tell she was bored. I mean look at her face. Well Selina looked more annoyed then bored. She trotted through the forest in her black wolf form. Her yellow eyes scanned and saw nothing. Hmph figures. There was no one around. No one to talk to. She could go find Laksha, but nah. She'd rather see who was in here and...
Hel-lo whats this? A cat of some type. Well she looked more like a girl, but from Selina could tell she was a shifted. Her paws came to a stop as she stared for a moment before her nose picked up the scent of another wolf. Ok so there were others around here...

The man, who had finally drifted into a very light sleep, was stirred by a sound. Footsteps on the forest floor, disturbing the dirt and grass. His eyes opened slowly, revealing the deep azure orbs to the leaves above him, half obscured by the hood of the cloak. He lifted his head from the trunk, glancing about on the branches first then on the ground. Off to his right, he noticed a young girl resting against a tree, alone, just like he was. It wasn't very surprising, seeing someone else wandering solitarily. He rather preferred it, truthfully.
Though the man preferred being alone, living a solitary life in this place until he could make his move, something triggered him to move closer, to observe the girl to an extent and hope that she wasn't as slow as she seemed. Standing slowly and quietly, the varg-shifter turned toward the branch on the tree just to his right and leaped for it, swinging once around and landing on his feet squarely, hands clasped to the branch. He waited for a minute before repeating the process to the next tree, then the next, until he was in the tree just to her left. The cloak settled comfortably around him, hiding his right arm sufficiantly from the girl should she notice him there. The pitch black markings along his chest, leading to his right arm, showed briefly before the wind breezed by slightly, making the cloak cover nearly his entire being.

Serenity sighed softly but, jerked up hearing movement. The girl's dark blue gaze first moved to the right of her. Nothing...Serenity shifted her gaze to the left and blinked in shock. There was a man there. Serenity looked to where he had been before then back to him. The teen simply stared at him with a questioning gaze. Was he going to hurt her? Was he going to talk to her? Serenity studied him and slowly stood up brushing some of her ebon hair away from her eyes. She made no move to run nor any moves closer. She just drank in all the details she could.

The man's sensitive abilities, including his sense of hearing and smelling, had picked up another presence, one of a wolf. But this was a femme also. What was it with females? Did they run this place? Hopefully not. He'd have to kill and burn everything in the building if it was the truth. His deep azure eyes stared at the girl as she stared at him. The exchange of looks may have seemed like a silent battle, talking with their eyes, but the varg-shifter didn't have much to say. His eyes just told the same story of pain, anger, and revenge.
"What are you doing out here alone..?" he asked quietly, his voice cracking a little since he hadn't talked in many months. The trainers and scientists had actually thought he had gone mute permanently after a few weeks. As the breeze blew lightly yet again, the hood covered his lower face, along with the black markings on the left side of his face that matched the ones on his torso. He could care less what she thought of him nor if she decided to go screaming since he had moved swiftly and silently as if he was an assassin toward her.

Serenity went to say something but, closed her moth thinking over her words. Finally after what seemed like hours she spoke. "Just wandering..." She replied in a tone that could be considered a treasure. Serenity had a soft, sweet, gentle voice and it was a rare treat to hear it. Serenity stayed damn near perfectly still as she watched him. This man was very deadly but, he also seemed to have a small soft spot. the girl's eyes glimmered softly as she wind blew. Slowly she moved closer to him rather than away. The girl studied him even more and when the wind blew again she gently reached up for him. The girl's finger tips gently moved along the black markings on his face. Serenity looked at him questioningly as her hand fell back to her side.

The man's body tensed slightly, his deep azure orbs narrowing. But he didn't dare harm the girl when she touched him. He had no right to. He felt a swift blow to his stomach, though, when she had spoken to him. Her voice was too kind, caring, soft--something he hadn't heard in ages. When her hand left, though, it all went away; every positive and good feeling left his bloodstream as if someone had sucked poison out of him.
Swiftly, he moved his feet from under him so he hang from the branch, then dropped to the ground. In the act, he made sure that his right arm was carefully covered. "I don't know where it came from. It just happened...after an incident; when I woke up here, it was the last thing I noticed. Most would think it a tattoo, but it isn't..." he said, answering the question showing in her eyes. Her eyes that seemed so much like his, but the story completely different.

"Strange...." She began softly. "I fain'y remember this from a dream....These markings...." She said looking him over again. "Why do you hide your arm....?" She asked in a soft tone. Serenity couldn't remeber the last time she'd talked this much and oddly, she felt comfortable enough around him to talk. The youth's dark blue, almost indigo gaze moved toward his. Once more their gazes locked in silent battle. Hers told the story of a misunderstood creature trying to find her place in the world. A story of sorrow, lonelyness, questions, and self doubt. Serenity was his complete opposite or, so it would seem.

His hand itched to move to his arm, but he prevented it. Prevented it from going to the ugly thing that held the twisted turn in his life, though his skin was unscarred from it. In fact, his skin had grown over the weapon that was dug so deep into his arm that it was only scant centimeters from his bone, leaving only the blades showing and nothing more of the metal material from his wrist to his shoulder. Nothing but blades and markings. His deep blue orbs fell to the ground to his right, his sandy brown hair hanging in his eyes.
"A secret is best kept untold in many situations," he said. Something about the girl just seemed different. It attracted his attention, more than anything really, and it was probably going to be his mistake here. His downfall that he'll regret, but maybe not too much. For some reason, he just couldn't up and leave like he normally would, but he could prevent the worse from happening.

She watched from the spot she stood from. Quickly slinking off to the side into a bush Selina's ears picked up the voice of the girl. Her yellow eyes peered out. Her mind drifted to her past where she once lived. She was a loner. She had no pack, her family was gone. Her only friends were a horse, a lioness, and another wolf. That was it.
Her ears perked as the man spoke. She laid down quietly wondering if anyone would notice her. She cocked her head slightly to the side as she watched them both.

The girl watched him, she saw how he kept from grabbing his arm. Serenity sighed softly and shook her head lightly at his actions. Serenity's heart fell as he lowered his head. Was it in shame or guilt? Either way it hurt her to seem him like this. She moved a step closer and brushed some of his sandy brown hair away from his eyes. The girl tilted his chin up and looked him dead in the eyes. Her gaze was soft, calm, crystal clear, her story was still being told in it as she thought of what words to say.
"Sometimes....The things best left unsaid are the things we want to share most but, most of the time we're too afraid to do so. To hide such pain, hatered, and sadness away is to light the fuse to a bomb that could explode at any second." She paused in her words and gave a bitter sweet smile. "I should know....My bomb exploded and thats how I ended up here...." She whispered softly, her voice laced with pain and regret. Serenity gently slid her hand away and looked past him at a wolf. The girl smiled and nodded towar the fae in a welcomming manner though, more that two people around made her nervous. She could only hope no one else showed up now.

He looked at her, listened to her words. Secrets... Why does there have to be secrets involved with everything he does? Secrets involved with silent murder in the streets of a poor town to ones in large populated cities. That was his life; getting the 'bad guys' involved with petty things, even if they were dirt poor and only trying to make a living with something. He even had to shoot a father in front of the man's own family, the only thing preventing them from seeing any feature was his cloak. He was surrounded with killing and murder, rarely compassion or kindness. Rarely any time to sit down and make friends or see anyone. But this girl gave him that kindness he'd never really had before.
"That's the problem... It ticked when it should have tocked and disintegrated my life when this happened," he said, clearly indicating his arm. "All because of those damned people had to interrupt my mission. Persia isn't the place where you want to fool around and be seen because there are deadly people there. Mostly Babylon, where I was." He stopped, already saying too much in his mind. He had already acknowledged that the femme wolf was nearby, but it didn't matter unless she chose to confront them.

Serenity took another small step forward listening to his words. The youth did something that would come as quite a shocker. She gently slid her arms under his cloak and around his midsection in a light hug. She stodd there not moving or tightening her grip any. "Things if life lead to others....If I hadn't exploded and you never ticked....I fear we would have never had a chance to meet. It is sad that of all the places we met here but, from what I can gather I'd be at the end of your blade had we met anywhere else." She said in a soft, gentle, kind tone. Serenity really seemed to live up to her name and calm people down becoming their serenity.

The man, afraid she'd feel or see the horror of his arm, grabbed the edge and held it close when she showed her small sign of compassion. A hug. The only person who had done that before was his mother. "I doubt that my blade would even go close to you if it was anywhere else. I run on a strict schedule and hunt down the people I'm asked to, nothing more and nothing less." He couldn't see this young girl in front of him, who had somehow comitted a crime of some sort, with his blade leveled between her eyes or in her throat, or more likely in her back. It was too farfetched.
The man didn't bother to hug her back, but just stood there and let her show her compassion. He had no idea what to do exactly, so he did nothing. What in the world is going on here?! You should know better than to let someone corrupt you. Push her away and get back to devising a plan to break out! The words echoed in his mind, words he had no intention of thinking. The voice, as well, didn't sound at all like him. It was a bit deeper, one that would belong to a cold blooded killer who wanted nothing but to reign and kill. Shaking his head, he ignored the thought. It was probably from being here too long.
