Long ago the battle between Thorics and Brinaths raged. The two races were each led by a powerful ruler that was determined to kill the other. The leader of the Thorics, Lethan, was a man that had been chosen by the god Thylin to possess the soul of a leopard. It was said that all after him would be cursed to possess this soul as well as his followers. The leader of the Brinaths, Ceron, was chosen by the god Thailith to posses the soul of a wolf. Ceron had too been cursed to pass his soul onto his generations and followers.
The war between the two leaders brought inevitable defeat closer and closer. The difference between the two races fueled the war that would rage for centuries. The gods became angry with the two leaders for their continued fighting. The gods swore that the two would suffer for all of eternity until one of the leaders fell. Then, the gods imprisoned the two leaders in separate parts of Methor.
Without their leaders, the two races fell apart, attacking without thought. In the midst of the battles, many innocent people were slaughtered. Only one side could win and each had their “chosen one”. Even though these “chosen ones” were chosen, the battles didn’t end as quickly as most hoped they would. The “chosen ones” gradually became independent, and unwilling to support everyone as a whole.
This brought many hardships to the two races as they struggled with great effort to win the war.
