"Abyss? Not a threat? He's going to be a threat until I either die or make the choice to stay away from you completely," said Nash, a grin forming on his mouth for once. He thought about Jarrn, his ideal to work and study the shifters. "I doubt something happened to his family to make him love science so much. I think its just genetic. He takes after his father, really, finishing what his old man couldn't. He told me once that his father was probably the greatest man on the earth for discovering the shifters. Even greater for being able to find each of them and study them outside for minor weaknesses and strengths before 'taking them in' for more study."
Nash paused, remembering the time he had first come here and heard all about the remarkable studies of shifters. Now it was just a bunch of bull. "One night, I hacked into one of the computers and found some information about Jarrn and even his father. He had a lot of notes about experiments, things that could be beneficial to the human race. There wasn't much to look at for side effects, so clearly Jarrn's old man didn't really pay attention to that half," he said.
Nash looked at the ground, anger pitting in his stomach. His right hand absently found Stella's pink hair, fingers threading through it as he talked. "I couldn't look at anymore because someone was comming and I had to turn it off by the tower or else they would've found me. I just hope there are no side effects. If so, I need to hunt Jarrn down and make him talk. I don't know how much longer it'll be before he sends someone after me to throw me in those rooms." Hopefully not too soon.

"He shows some pity towrds the kinder shifters... Hell...He could have just left me on the beach with a gash on my arm after he put me under...But..No...He took me to a lab did what he had to do..Cleaned and wrapped my injured arm...Then...helpped me when I came around..." She paused and closed her eyes feeling his fingers in her hair. "Mmmmmm....That feels nice..." She murmered softly with a light smile.
After a few minutes of listening to him and relaxing from having her hair stroked she looked up at him. "Something had to have happened for his father to want to proove our existance and hunt us down. I know for a fact that some shifters simply live to murder and....get away with it too....I of all people should know that...." She trailed off closing her eyes with a light sigh.
"To some people the power goes to their head...To others we live in constant fear...And even still others have learned to deal with it and move on." She said in a soft tender tone. "I just wish Jarrn would let the innocent free and keep the murderous locked up. I mean...When I was little my momma used to tell me stories of how some shifters got powers when they were older if they lived a pure life..." She paused with a light smile. "I miss her dearly....She and my papa were murdered by a shifter....I think he was a bear...." She said softly as she tried to remember all she could.

"Okay, so he may not be the evil scientist I could invision, but he cuts close enough to it. Just remember, he pitted you against your brother afterward and he probably wanted a good fight to analyze. I don't mean to crush your thoughts, but it's simple for me to think that," he said, glancing down at her. Nash listened to her short story about her family. He wanted to comfort her, wanted to say things to make her feel better, but he really didn't know how. "Sorry to hear about that... Wish it could've been better for you."
Nash averted his gaze, remembering his own family. He didn't know much about his mother since she had died only a few days after giving birth to his younger brother and his father had been closed up ever since. About three months later, his father had committed suicide and he was left to care for his brother alone. It had been rough, but he'd gotten by. Though when his brother, Javiar, reached the age of seven and Nash himself was sixteen, Jav was shot in an incident. It was only weeks later that he had received a message about Hidden Boundaries. And I still regret nearly everything I've done... Just nearly, he thought.

Stella looked over at Abyss and then back to Nash. "That fight was soon comming anyway.....Lets just say Abby was getting a bit......Posessive so to say...." Stellairria said sighing softly. "Abby and I are not related by blood an I think his instincts have begun to kick in...."The young shifter paused with another light sigh. "I care for Abby I really do but...If he keeps on acting the way he is....I may have to put some space between us." Stella said in the same soft gentle tone. The girl's words held fear and sorrow in them. "He's like a brother to me...and we basically equall each other out some but...." She trailed of and simply snuggled closer to Nash.

Nash wrapped his arm around her, looking at Abyss. Even though he didn't know Stella very long, he was too attached to let anything happen to her. Even if it meant that he had to fight off Abyss, he would protect her. "I'm sure nothing will happen..." he said in a low, comforting voice. Surely nothing will happen. If so, I'll have to try my best so she doesn't lose him; so she doesn't have to go through the pain of losing the last person she cares for. He made the thought a vow, a promise he'd keep until he died.
Abruptly, Nash's eyes went wide, teeth gritting together as anger builded up. The tension had risen and he knew exactly what was coming. Jarrn had finally taken action. But why now?! he thought rashly, feeling the fangs begin to explode in his mouth and claws sprouting from his fingernails. He let go of Stella, moving off of the bed slowly, though he moved as quickly as he dared. Pain erupted in his head as his hands flew up to try and suppress the pain, to prevent the ears from coming. When it was finally over, he found himself kneeling on the ground, trying to breath in air. His head was hurting tremendously from the extreme pain, threatening to grow even more should he move faster than a snail.
The door swung open and two large, built men entered the room, eyes trained on Nash. These weren't the type of men who were all brawn and no brain; they were fully equipped to evade most attacks for a quick take. Nash glanced back at Stella, hands tightening into fists. "Don't even dare try to fight them right now, Stella. You aren't in any shape to sustain any more injuries," he said in a harsh voice due to the fact that he still hadn't gotten all of his breath back. He turned his golden gaze back to the guards, standing slowly. "And I expect you to leave them alone. No threats or quick tricks." He eyed them carefully, seeing the subtle nods, and walked forward.
As soon as Nash had stepped outside the door, he heard the sound of chains as his audits flickered backward. Instantly he leaped forward into a tuck-and-roll, dodging whatever it was they had. He came up on his hands and feet, looking at the two. What the object looked like was a chain with shackles on it. Just two; one for the wrist and one for the ankle. Nash's golden gaze narrowed on the one with the chain, a slight growl escaping his throat. "I shoulda known you'd play dirty. Was it Jarrn or just a stupid intention you thought would work?" he spat as he lunged forward, hands out and ready to slash. The man with the chains twirled it and lashed out, twisting around Nash's wrist. His audits flew backward as he was pulled forward, landing on the ground with the breath nearly knocked out of him. Nash snapped his teeth together as the wrist shackle was shut firmly on his right arm, but he twisted his body so he was standing on his hands. He leaped quickly behind the man, catching onto the chain as he did, and held it to his throat in a tight vice.
"Now, we're going to go without anymore interruptions or I'm going to be forced to choke your life right out of you. It's your choice," he said. The man's face was already beginning to turn a bluish color, so he loosened it slightly. The man instantly nodded his head and Nash let go, dragging the rest of the chain with him as he leaped away. "No more dirty tricks and no more games. Just take me to Jarrn so we can get this over with." Nash looked into the room, looking once more at Stella. With a silent promise to return, he started down the hall after the men, eyes trained on the one rubbing his neck.

The shifter's eyes widened as Nash changed. "Nash....Nash...?....Nash!" She barked out getting to her feet. Stella went to go after him but, stopped listening to his words. The wolf shifter waited for a minute or two before transforming into her wolf form. Slowly the odd looking wolf padded after Nash and the men following his scent. The wolf moved in near silence as she followed the group.
Stellairria was nervous and very jumppy but, determined to follow Nash. This could be a danerous thing for all three of them: Nash, Abyss and her. Stella looked over her shoulder toward the way she came and then swung her head back around scenting the floor again. Stella turned down a hall still following Nash's scent. The wolf came to a door and growled softly pushing it open.
Stella began slowly moving down another hallway still sniffing out Nash's trail. Stella came to another door and pushed against it, only to find it locked. Stella rose up onto her hind paws and looked through the window in the door. She tilted her ears back some the room was empty...? Had she just been sent on a wild scent chase...?

Nash sighed, looking up at the ceiling as he sat on the floor. It had been about an hour since he was put inside the room and Jarrn had yet to show himself. He fiddled with the chain he held onto, the metal links making a slight grinding sound against the ground. He had made the man take it off of his wrist, threatening he would kill him on the spot. It would make a good weapon should he have to defend himself in any way.
Just as he was about to stand, a door to his right swung open and Jarrn entered. A grin appeared briefly on his face before he moved and sat down in a chair. "Well, Nash. You look... healthy. I was going-"
"Just cut to the chase, Jarrn. I have my own questions I want answered, okay?" snapped Nash, anger rising immediately. Now he knew exactly what the shifters felt, exactly their pain and suffering. And he had every intention of killing Jarrn should he have the chance. Nash could feel his hands tighten on the chain, but he prevented himself from making a move.
Jarrn held out his hands in front of him. "I'm not looking for a fight from you. If you have questions, then ask them. I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability." He looked at Nash squarely in the eye, not in the least afraid of the new fangs or claws he had deemed from the blood fusion. He was rather glad that his father's experiment actually worked and hoped that there was no side effects.
Nash's golden eyes narrowed on him. "What exactly did you do to me?" he asked in a low, cold voice. "I want to know now, Jarrn. I want to know why you suddenly decided to do this and if it's irreversible, then I want you to change me back so I don't become this anymore." Nash had stood at this point, chain firmly in hand. His anger seemed to have an aura all to itself, burying in the pit of his stomach and racing through his bloodstream like fire.
Jarrn stood as well, crossing his arms. "I just though you'd rather be with that shifter girl. So I simply took a blood sample from her and injected it into you. Her blood simply entered itself into your DNA stream, though something seems to be different. Instead of letting you choose on will to become a wolf, it only reacts when you're angry, plus it only gives you some characteristics." Jarrn sounded as if he was speaking aloud, as if he was the only one in the room, though he included Nash. "There is no way to reverse it. The only thing to do is go forward, but I don't know what exactly will happen." Father never tried anything that far, never really tried his own theories out at all... What if something goes wrong and he dies? I'll practically be a murder... were his thoughts. Shaking his head, he began to pace, thoughts running through his head.
"Look, whatever. Can I just go back to the Infirmary? Stella needs me right now to take care of her. She isn't fully recovered yet and she could have done something incredibly stupid and she might be hurt," he said, irritated at the answer he was given. When Jarrn waved his hand, Nash used the door to the right instead of the door he had come through. It was an easier route and probably faster and he wanted to get back to Stella as fast as possible.

When Stella heard the sound of a door opening she dropped down quietly. The she wolf pressed closer to the door listening to their words. Curious she rose up to her hind paws again her claws making a ticking noise. This hurt like hell but, she was curious. The wolf gazed throuh the small window watching Nash and Jarrn. Their exhange of words cofused and scared her all at the same time. When Stella hear Nash pratically demand to leave she took off at a sloppy run.
The wolf's claws clicked on the floor as she raced painfully back toward the infirmary. Stella cut a corrner too sharp and lost her balance smacking against the ground and, sliding a foot or two. The wolf staggered to her paws and shook her head a few times the clear her dizzyness away. Stella took off again following her own scent back to the room she started in. Once inside Stella calmed her heartrate and breathing.
Stella remained in her wolf form and began pacing the length of the room as if she'd been waiting. Stella was rather good at acting and she hated to lie to Nash but, he did tell her to stay before he left. Stella paused and sighed shaking out her coat before continuing with her act of boredom. Stella could only hope Nash would believe she'd been here or, not completely flip out on her....She was only worried for his safety...Thats why she followed them.

Nash came through the back door about five minutes after Stella had burst through the main door. He still held the chain in his left hand, his knuckles white from gripping it too hard. Once he spotted Stella, though, his anger seemed to diminish to some extent. With a sigh, he sat down in one of the black, fluffy-yet-glossy seats, leaning back in it. His right hand was at his forehead, elbow propped on the arm rest. Nash was extremely pissed, his every intention leaning toward going haywire and killing everyone who worked in the damned place, but he knew it couldn't happen. Not right now.

Stella walked over to him and tilted her ears back some, as she rested her head on his leg. The odd little wolf cast her stunning blue gaze up at him and whimpered softly in an atempt to sooth him some. Stella leaned up and licked his cheek then went back to resting her head on his leg. She had been worried about him...Really she had. The fae's tail moved from side to side a few times but, soon stopped. She still had a feeling that Jarrn was up to no good and that he'd come hunt her down again.

Nash looked down at her, his brown orbs immediately softening. He eventually let go of the chain, his hand resting on her head. "I'm fine, Stella, don't worry..." he said with a sigh. He leaned forward, taking her head in both hands and resting his forehead on hers. "I'm just.. a little too angry, maybe. Jarrn will pay for making puppets out of everyone he sees fit. I'll make sure of it. Once you're better, we'll probably be moved back to the simulated rooms. In between those times, I'm sure I won't get a chance to do anything."
His fingers moved through her soft fur as he spoke, thoughts running through his head. It wasn't just random thoughts, though, it was a decision. I have to... I don't want to keep changing like this... the only thing to do is make it permanent if I can't take it back... he kept thinking, reminding himself that it was for a good cause. He would do it when the time was right, and he'd know when it was time.
