Adriana looked at them both again then back to her cat. "Shade says, very interesting indeed. Many others think that as well," she said stroking the cat's head lightly before moving her hand away. "Shade says, no Adriana is not hungry, but I could use a snack." and with that the cat sniffed at the piece of food Yala was holding out. He lapped the rice from Yala's hand with his rough pink tongue then gently nudged her hand. "Shade says, thank you for the food. It is very delicious even though I much prefer fish." Adriana chuckled slightly at his supposed comment, but then she nodded. "Shades says, no I will not bite, you can pet me if you wish." Adriana smiled slightly and stood up holding the the cat in her arms. She walked toward Yala so that she could pet Shade.

Evra held his head down letting his long hair cover his face. He leaned against the nearest wall and sat down on the floor. "I had a bad experience with a cat..." he said remembering his life at a circus. One of the memories of which he hated.

Yala smiled taking a step closer and stroked Shade's head softly, her fingernails lightly slide on his fur like silk leaving a soft tingle. "Aww, I wish I had a pet-I was never really great with cats. They would usually run away from me, wonder why though-maybe it was because I reeked of dog since I used to work at a pet store during high school. Oh well...anyhow, how long have you been here? I'm surprised to hear music from the halls just now since it's the first time for me after I came here." Yala tilted her head in a kind smile leaving her crimson hair strands to trail down her cheeks, "Unless you don't come out of your room alot, I'm usually out in the gardens myself-inside makes me feel trapped...like being held here wasn't enough ya know." Yala's eye lids fell sadly shimmering in sorrow and painful memories not able to hide underneath her smile.

"Shade says, we have been here for awhile. It's true, adriana does not like to leave her room unless she needs to for something. Occasionally she will leave to take a walk, but still she would avoid people. It's quite a tradgedy, shes such a nice girl if you get to know her. You see, shes shy and well thats not the only reason she doesn't like to speak. There are many reasons I will not tell a soul, I'm sorry." she spoke for him as she began stroking his head as well. "Shade says, yes. Cats do not like dogs, well some do, but personally I do not. I believe the smell of dog is gone from you, most likely you haven't been at the pet place for awhile hmm?" The young girl turned to Evra, still speaking her cats words, "Ah I see. Some cats aren't as friendly as others, every cat is different. I'm sorry you had a bad experience wih my kind, I apologize on his or her behalf."

"Don't worry about it...besides...the lion had two heads, not really a fair fight....and my dislocated arm was put back into place...I was nine-years-old...I didn't know any better." he replied with no emotion, keeping his face hidden with his hair. His past was what kept the anger, hatred, and darkness in his nonexistent heart.

Yala gaped her mouth like a fish taken out of water pointing her finger at Evra. "T-T-Two heads?! Nine years old?! WHAT THE HELL!?! Boy, you need to get a hobby if you're doing that kind of stuff at such young age. And how did you know he had a bad experience with them?" She exclaimed brushing back her hair from her face innocently, Yala took a seat glancing between the two waiting for their answers. "Uggh, confused! You might wanna explain it a little more to me." She said rubbing her forehead temples and smiled encouragingly at them to continue.

Adriana stared at the two of them, remaining completely silent. Obviously, she nor Shade had something to say to the two strangers. The young girl placed herself back on her seat letting the sleek domesticated cat leap from her arms to sit atop of the piano. Adriana's slender fingers began to flow across the piano's shiny white and black keys again. The beautiful melody began to place again as she played, focused on her work. One by one or two by two the keys were pressed down, each time joining together to form the lovely song. Her sparkling grey-blue eyes followed her hands as they moved, she was completely focused on them; ignoring the world around her. Suddenly the overall sound changed, it began to go lower and lower in tone. a more serious look crossed Adriana's face, it was really quiet scary in a way. She pressed down hard on the keys causing them to create a booming sound instead of a soft rhythm. It sounded much like thunder. something was going through the girl's mind....some kind of disturbance.....memories...

Evra looked up, his silver hair falling at the sides of his face. His attention had turned to Yala. "I used to be part of a freak-show circus. A horrible experience. It was an April Fools Day prank....and I was the fool..." he paused and turned his attention to Adriana.

Don't know if that explains everything but I'll leave it at that...poor guy. Yala thought giving Evra a concerned look finding herself walking over to him and pulling him into a bone crushing hug. Her eyes trailed Adriana releasing some grip over Evra slowly. Yala watched her play the piano in such a manner it was depressing to remember memories that flower within the melody. The kind of memories everyone tries to keep locked away. Let's be honest...everyone had skeletons in their closets here in this place and Yala had the worst kind imaginable. With a sudden shiver up her spine she let go of Evra completely taking a seat far away from the piano giving a watchful eye over it. What strange power that girls possesses through her music...I wonder.

The music just seemed to get louder and deeper. Adriana seemed to pound on the keys, making the thunderous sound even more stormly. Her eyes were narrowed as if she were lost in though, which she was. Finally, she stopped lifting her hands to the sides of her head, closing her eyes. She let out a frustrated sound and stood up almost falling over. Adriana caught her footing and stood back up with cat-like balance. She opened her eyes again, only to have them narrowed in a feirce glare. Adriana did not look like the nice girl she was, she looked angry...and other emotions. Her gaze fell upon the two people in her room, eyes still in a glare. She didn't seem to be happy over their presence. "Come, Shade." she said in a dark-toned not-to-be-messed-with voice. The cat obviously understood her words for he obeyed and hopped up onto her shoulder. Adriana put her high heel shoes on then stormed out the door. She needed to be alone, or atleast somewhere where no one would bother her.

Evra flinched at the sudden hug, he hadn't been hugged in a very long time. When he saw Adriana glare and walk out of the door, he felt tension, coming from her. He looked at Yala and stood up, stretching his arms and legs. "My past is very dark and full of hatred....if you want to know more about it....be my guest..." he told her, shoving his hands in her pockets.

"Everyone has something dark in their lives, just how you handle it that matters. But I wouldn't mind learn-huh? Adriana? What's the matter? Have we done something to upset her, do you think? I didn't mean to if that's the case...the sudden hollow look in her eyes worries me." Yala worried out loud stepping to the doorway and leaned her body out watching her walk away. "She might just need some alone time but still...I feel much more comfortable if I knew what's going on inside her head!" She pouted glancing back at Evra, "So...what about you?" Yala sat back down still eying the door hoping she'd return soon to weight down her worry.

He shrugged his shoulders in reply to Yala's question. "I dunno, it depends on you. If you leave I leave...if you stay...then I guess I'll stay...or something like that. Either way I'll end up walking around like some puppy without any sense of direction..." Evra said looking up at her, but then looked down at the floor. "Adriana...something...tension...I felt it when she left..."

Yala stared briefly at him uncertain to stay or depart; she would be late if she stayed any longer than she had already. Heaving a small sigh she stood up from her seat and walked to the entryway before pausing giving him a quick glance. I must be going now, perhaps well see each other again. See ya around? She asked tilting her head beaming a smile feeling the cold metal doorknob under her fixed hand, Yala wanted to talk more to Adriana and Evra both but now wasnt the time she knew. Yala gave a small head nod of farewell and left the silent piano room. She didnt want to be lateshe couldnt afford to be late, not this time.

Evra, watching her go, also left the room. Except in silence. Holding his head down, he braced himself for his next venture. He relied only on himself, and himself only. He took the golden necklace that he'd had in his pocket out and dnagled the chain between his fingers, staring at the item that hung from it. "Greed..." he said to himself, walking, alone.
